Frequently asked questions
What is Credit For Life?
Credit For Life is a free loan-matching service. Your request goes to our network partner that provides the loan request form, which may share it with lenders and partners in our network who may make you an offer.
How long has Credit For Life been around?
The brand has operated in Roseville, California since 2018, starting with credit repair and counseling and now focused on free loan matching with a credit-education focus. See about us.
Where is Credit For Life located?
Our office is at 300 Harding Blvd #112, Roseville, CA 95678. See contact for hours and directions.
Is checking my options free?
Yes. Credit For Life does not charge you anything to submit a request or see offers.
Will checking my loan options hurt my credit score?
Most lenders in our network use a soft credit inquiry to show offers, which does not affect your credit score.
What's the difference between a soft and a hard credit check?
A soft check is used to show possible offers and doesn't affect your score. A hard check is run by a lender before final approval and can affect your score. See soft credit check loans.
Does Credit For Life do a hard credit check?
No. Credit For Life itself never runs a hard credit check. A lender you choose to move forward with may run one before final approval.
Can I see offers with bad credit?
Many lenders in our network work with bad or thin credit. There's no guarantee of an offer, and requirements vary by lender.
What does a $300 California payday loan cost?
Under California's Deferred Deposit Transaction Law, the fee is capped at 15% ($45 on $300). You receive $255 and repay $300, about 460% APR over 14 days. See payday loans.
What APR can I expect on an installment loan?
Lenders in our network offer APRs from about 5.99% to 35.99% on installment and personal loans of $2,500 or more. Loans under $2,500 follow California's tiered rate caps, and short-term or smaller-dollar offers may carry an APR above 36%. See rates and terms.
Are there fees to use Credit For Life?
No, using our matching service is always free. A lender may charge fees, such as an origination or admin fee, within limits set by California law.
What loan amounts are available?
Loan amounts through our network range from $100 to $35,000, depending on the lender and product.
How fast can I get funds?
Funding time depends on the lender. Some fund the same or next business day; others take longer. See how it works.
Can I get funds the same day?
Some lenders offer same-day funding for smaller amounts like payday loans or cash advances, but this isn't guaranteed for every applicant. See cash advance.
What if I don't have a bank account?
Most lenders in our network require an active bank account to send and collect payments. Requirements vary by lender.
What happens to my information?
Information you submit through the loan request form goes directly to our network partner that provides that form; Credit For Life does not receive or store it. That partner may share it with lenders and partners so they can consider your request. See our privacy policy.
Can I opt out of my information being shared or sold?
California residents can submit a request under our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page.
Is Credit For Life available outside California?
Our primary market is California, and we are not available in every state. Availability, amounts and terms vary by lender and state.
How do I file a complaint?
Start with the lender directly. You can also file with California's DFPI at dfpi.ca.gov/file-a-complaint (1-866-275-2677) or the CFPB at consumerfinance.gov/complaint ((855) 411-2372). See responsible borrowing.
